The life of a runner, mother, radiopharmacist and vicar's wife – that's me!
I had to take some photos of equipment in our clean room today so I took the opportunity to take a photo of what I look like at work. Unfortunately this is what I look like.
The weather is still pretty awful, which might explain why there were so many people on the treadmills tonight. When I got there all 7 treadmills were full and 6 people were walking! Some were walking really slowly! I did the only thing I could do – I did some stretching and waited. Going to the gym is probably good for me, it’s practically the only time I do any proper stretching.
Eventually, fully stretched, I got on the treadmill. After 2km warm up, I did 5 x 1km @15 kph on a 1% gradient with 2 min recovery. I was pretty happy with that even though it wasn’t all that quick. It was a good session though, I felt fairly comfortable and I would rather not try to push it too hard when I’m not that fit.
In order to pass the time, I watched whatever was on the TV. I think that the programme is called Flog It. Of corse, I couldn’t hear a word because I didn’t have my headphones. I think that the basic premis is that people get the experts to value their stuff and then they sell it at auction and see how much they get. Anyway, there was this guy on it with the weirdest jumper I have ever seen. The whole neck section was like a net kind of thing. And I thought my clothes were weird.
